Review: Replenix Pure Hydration Hyaluronic Acid Serum

Replenix Pure Hydration Hyaluronic Acid Serum

If you think that I say things are amazing far too often– let me just say that I try a lot of products that never make it anywhere near this blog. So, believe me when I tell you that the Pure Hydration Hyaluronic Acid Serum from Replenix is actually amazing.

Three weeks ago, I received a generous sample of Replenix Pure Hydration Serum from one of my favorite retail skincare websites as a gift for purchasing something else, and decided to use the serum as a base under Tazorac and then followed up with CeraVe PM. After a few weeks, the difference this has made to the appearance in my skin is a bit flabbergasting. Everyone from coworkers to friends have commented on both the brightened  tone and smoothness of my skin.

When I first started really getting into hyaluronic acid as a skincare ingredient, such as with CeraVe moisturizers and Mario Badescu’s Hyaluronic Eye Cream— I realized that visible results within a short period of time could actually be sold in a bottle or jar. While these products aren’t permanent miracle cures to the visible aging process– they are still pretty incredible and a good indicator of how far skincare technology has advanced considering both products clock in at under $2o.

My own focus on moisture began when I started using Tazorac .1% gel in early 2015 to combat adult, hormonal-flaring acne. I first applied CeraVe PM under Tazorac during my nighttime skin routine, knowing that the hyaluronic acid and ceramides in CeraVe’s formula would help my skin deal with the harsh topical retinoid.

Why hyaluronic acid not only helped my skin retain moisture but also brightened my complexion is a bit beyond my understanding of dermatological science. However, I do know that while my skin reacts extremely well to products that contain hyaluronic acid– depending on an individual’s own chemistry, hyaluronic acid doesn’t necessarily perform well for everyone.

What I would say is that for those of us who utilize ingredients such vitamin A, high-levels of alpha or beta hydroxy acids, in our skincare routines– the Pure Hydration Hyaluronic Acid Serum from Replenix is an awesome way to help skin retain its moisture and has helped both the look and texture of my skin in a very short period of time.

Side note: Replenix also has a similar serum that is strictly for the décolletage area and I’ve thought about trying that as well since my results have been so awesome. Avoiding the sun has made my décolletage area sort of a non-issue even as I passed through my 20s but I am starting to feel like a bit more prevention couldn’t hurt. I’ll let you know if I give it a shot.
