Iced Tea Cubes

What can be more refreshing on a hot summer day than iced tea?  With scorching weather, drinks can quickly become watered down from melted ice cubes.  One way to have your last iced tea sip taste just as good as your first, is to make the ice cubes with the tea.  There are plenty of creative ways to liven up the ice cubes with fruit and herbs.  On this particular day, Adie and I decided to make green tea and add fresh mint and blackberries to the cubes.  What we ended up with was not only satisfying to beat the heat, but it was also visually beautiful.  As the ice cubes melt, you’re left with yummy treats at the end too!

The process is a piece of cake.  First, pick out one of your favorite teas to make.  Adie brewed a simple green tea and let it cool until it was ready to poor into the ice cube tray.  Before pouring, it’s best to place the goodies inside the tray before adding the tea to prevent spillage.  Then simply pour the tea into the tray and freeze.  Voila!  Now you have the perfect way to enjoy a glass of iced tea from start to finish without the weird watery mixture at the bottom of the glass.  Enjoy!
